The apartment boom in Scott's Addition has stopped. No new apartment complex has started construction in 2 years. There aren't many big open properties left to buy, and finding investors has gotten hard.

In today's RTD, how the city of Richmond cost Levar Stoney the race for lieutenant governor. It was "almost unprecedented" how badly Stoney performed in his hometown. He got 21% of Richmond votes and lost the primary by less than 1 percentage point.

I got to ride Kings Dominion's new roller coaster, Rapterra, last week. (At 7 a.m.) It gets my full endorsement. Glad to see Volcano replaced with a high-quality attraction.

Squirrels owner Lou DiBella says CarMax Park is on schedule to be ready for opening day 2026. Last beam will go up next month. Today he presented a jersey to Mayor Danny Avula.

Today is the our last day on Franklin St, where the RTD newsroom has been based for decades, and where I’ve worked for 16 years. Next week, the newsroom moves to Hanover County, and a new chapter begins.

It’s fitting that I would stumble upon this newspaper today. In 2017, Mekhi Becton was a senior at Highland Springs and the top recruit in the area. He committed Louisville shortly after this story published. Today he’s playing in the Super Bowl.

The Henrico Doctors' nurse charged with abuse was suspended last year when four infants in the NICU were discovered with fractures. Henrico Child Protective Services investigated but could not determine who was responsible.

Very glad to see Godwin tennis coach Mark Seidenberg chosen for the VHSL hall of fame. His teams reached the state championship match 15 times, winning 11. His teams were so dominant.
