The difference is before it was illegal and an affront to democracy. Now Schumer has given it bipartisan support and legal recognition. Congress has the power of the purse and they've now willingly ceded that power to Trump and Musk.

At least Mitch actually made things hard for the Obama administration, as his job entailed. Chuck and the rest of the Democratic leadership are keeling over and allowing Trump to do whatever he likes. The Democrats are barely acting as an opposition party at all.

Well I don't disagree there, I just mean the Democrats were lucky to have someone like McCain step up. I think the only one who can rightfully claim he "made things impossible" was Mitch McConnell and unfortunately the Democrats lack the will to replicate that out of some misguided sense of decorum.

Well that's a lie, it was a pure fluke for them to get McCain's vote. It's pretty audacious to claim that was part of the plan.

A lot of people don't seem to realise that he doesn't wear a suit out of courtesy to the Ukrainian people. His country is at war and if he toured the world in a suit, he would look extremely out of touch back home. He's representing Ukraine in its current state, at war.

And Trump had the nerve to respond to the question "what if Putin breaks the ceasefire" with "what if a bomb dropped on you", as though it were some wild hypothetical instead of the daily reality for Ukraine. Absolutely disgusting.

And remember when he "gave" starlink to Ukraine "free of charge" and then 2 years later demanded compensation when he was criticised for switching it off? He's going to do that to the US taxpayer in a few years time then he will profit from all air traffic control.

I doubt he's cares about this, it's clearly just a front for him to receive untraceable bribes. The Magas losing out on the rugpull is just a bonus.
