Rumor has it that Dreamworks actually copied this one first, but I'm still trying to verify it. May have been for the best, given that the animation and humor in Madagascar is better. Even the plot's more interesting: what happens when a zoo lion raised in luxury loses his food supply?

The exterminations may be stated to be Adam’s idea, but the reason Sera agreed is because she was convinced the demons were uprising. She’s no sadist, but if anything the trailers for this season indicate that she won’t be fully let off the hook narratively.

TADC is very competently done and very entertaining but is also very simplistic. Despite its inspo none of the characters have any friction besides Jax with the rest of em, and 90% of the emotional moments consist of the same camera shots of two characters doing therapy speak.
