Been trying to balance my constant need for approval and validation with my role as a group organizer lately.
I think when I make leading my run club look effortlessly people don't realize the effort that it actually takes.
But also I shouldn't expect constant thank yous or external validation

New half marathon PR!
I'm now part of the 1:35 half marathon club. Fantastic motivator for my upcoming full in 3 weeks, I'm more confident in aiming for a 3:30 now.
And got to run out with great friends.

Been single for almost my entire life, and I made peace with it. I rather think about everything I do have (and lucky to do so) than dwell on that one thing.
That said I went to a wedding over the weekend and it hit me hard how much I still want that feeling and realistically I'll never have it.

Over the weekend I went out and became an ultra marathoner.
First 50k, under 5 hours and good enough to take 2nd place.
The heat was killer but the people were amazing. Every runner from 10k to 100k was grinding and encouraging and the volunteers kept pushing us.
Amazing experience.

The three friends all have toxic masculinity traits and are not happy, and it ends up being Andy, someone that is kind, respectful and thoughtful that has the best relationship and teaches them that.

Been lurking/posting on the PA forums since the 2000s till now, long after I even stopped checking the strip.
It was a bastion of civility when compared to other forums of the era. A lot of my progressive evolution is because of stuff that would get discussed there.

I'm not perfect but I like to think I always been pretty accepting and inclusive.
I think it's bc I been the outcast and the bullied, so it formed empathy and not wanting others to feel that way.
Maybe we should teach bullying more. Just gotta tread the needle so they don't become chuds/incels.
