The title reads: I'm working on a Mörk Borg compatible Mesoamerican inspired setting called KOKO◈TÖNA, I am gonna start sharing little bits of lore and content here and on the game's Twitter! Hope you like it!

The image shows an aztec style glyph in red on a black background with the text: Years of Ceremonial Flower Wars have reduced the continet-spanning Teotekan Empire to ashes. Tez-Kozamalotl, Huei'Tlatoani, supreme ruler of the seven imperial tribes has succumbed to the madness of embarking into Likland, the accursed eastern continent, and sacrificing the True Thieves of the Flesh as the final offering to Huei'Huei-Naktokatl's ancient bargain. He crawls out of his Temple-Palace, a rotting husk of skin and bones. He coldly snatches a blood-obsidian knife and plunges it into his own chest, ripping his still-beating heart out. He devours it whole then smashes it under the glare of Huei'Huei-Metzhuotl's blood-red moon. As blood gushes from his mouth, he flashes a maniacal grin and addresses his followers, issuing a final command: KOKOTÖNA

A fragment of blood-obsidian shattered during a ritual gone wrong lodged into one of your eye-sockets. The bone-menders tried to cut it out, but found it wired into your veins. You’ve been able to see shadows move slower ever since.

You were an apprentice to a star-reader, and this tattoo was the first etched onto you with soot and needle. The process failed, their magicks died, and the knowledge turned to dust. The mark remains, a empty vessel for powers lost to the night sky.

It's been that way in Mexico for a bit. At first it was "Race Day" as in the creation of the Mexican Mestizo Race and nowadays is "Day of the Pluricultural Nation" which is a mouthful and terrible name but at least has good intentions.

I am Mexican, I am a product of colonialism. It would be fair to say KOKOTÖNA itself wouldn't exist without that horror

But it is one thing to acknowledge it and another one entirely to celebrate it
