The hidden 12AX7 requires removing the chassis for access. The reverb cables drape near the speaker terms. They got secured.

Worth it if you have about $1600.

Has similarities to the Twin Twelve but is cathode biased
The preamp lacks the extra gain stage of the 1484, otherwise similar. The second channel has the reverb and vibrato but oddly the reverb works fine.

This Fender made 57 Custom Deluxe reissue came in for some attention. The Usual Suspects have it for around $2.6k. Along side it is my shop build that ended up costing me about $800 to build all in.
