Took my son back to uni today. It’s only when the house is empty do I realise how much I miss not having him around. I feel sadder today than when I first dropped him off in September. I try to tell him, but worry about saddling him with my sadness.

Only 2 days into my annual leave and I’m already not looking forward to going back to work next week

After being missing for nearly 3 weeks, our cat suddenly appeared tonight. We’d given up and thought the worst, but I can’t explain the joy we all felt when she jumped through the window. She’s lost a lot of weight, but won’t be short of food and fuss for the next few weeks
