Seeing Summer Wars after seeing this with a group of people who NEVER SAW THE DIGIMON MOVIE created one hell of a movie night for my friend group.

I can still technically do girl voice, but the style and tone is probably the same as 50 other people who have already tried so I'm gonna just let the ladies have this one.

Unfortunately, agreed.

Part of me respects the commitment.

We don't talk about the variously sized kings often enough.

I cared a bit about some of the supporting characters, sure... But not really enough for some of the outcry that I saw from a handful of the movie's fans. All in all, the film was not really strong enough emotionally or as a spectacle to hold much of my attention. Vader was neat, but he always is.

What I well and truly did not understand was the people who were shocked and seemingly devastated over the conclusion of the film. We already knew the fate of Rogue One. They literally told us in the first few minutes of Episode One DECADES ago. And honestly I didn't find the cast that endearing.

As someone who was with Homestuck since Act 1... Honestly I envy you. Homestuck and One Piece have ruined my sense of media scale and normalcy.

The opposite of Evil isn't some ambiguous concept of "good". It's just compassion. Caring about people and giving them a reason to smile.

Right??? When it first came out it had me SO nervous but... It's actually really good? And I deeply appreciated the angle of the narrative in that it was basically Piccolo's movie. He was an excellent vehicle to bring us through the story, and I kinda wanna see more of him in that role.
