Hen Wood Duck: the drakes (males) are very colorful but the ladies tear drop eye mask is eyecatching as well Snowy Egret: this one seems to have just finished preening. An Acorn Woodpecker was hammering away on one of the wood buildings at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park yesterday. We stopped to watch, and the bird swiveled its head around to see what we were doing.
