Fun fact: Her current backstory of being Lucifer's reincarnating wife, going back to his days as an angel started out as an AU. (With the premise of 'what if Joey met Lucifer as an angel?') But it was such a fun concept and people LOVED it so much I'm like. Fuck it. This is now her Canon backstory.

So one mild existential crisis and what amounted to a 'beta version' of OM!Joey (with a simpler backstory to her current one and a more love/hate relationship with Lucifer than her current self) later, I was completely ensnared.

Because it felt like all the demons were being kind of mean and he seemed the most polite. Then some of his homescreen lines reminded me of another character I had a huge crush on (Xander from FE fates) & I'm like. Oh no I'm in danger. And then... well... his character turned out to be Joey catnip.

Lucifer is in this game??? Just straight up the devil? And he's datable??? Wait Lucifer and Satan are different people what? But also then. THEN. i heard his beautiful deep voice and was like. Oh. OH. Oh sir that is so not fair. No no no. But then I ended up picking him as my homescreen guy (6/?)

But okay we need to talk about Lucifer because the process of me getting a huge character crush on him was a trip. Like. Okay so at first based on the ads I didn't know who he was (though he looked like some rich asshole to me), but then he introduced himself and I was so shocked like. (5/?)

I was also kinda shocked at how wildly inaccurate the ads were. And I hadn't played a lot of romance games so the demons flirting with me was kinda overwhelming (in a very good way, made me all bashful and giggly). But, i got super invested in the story around lesson 3/4ish. (4/?)

Funnily enough I didn't like the artsyle at first (but it grew on me over time a lot) but I always liked the music. I was really surprised the characters moved and was pleasantly surprised to find out they used live2d, which was used in another game i liked (fire emblem fates) (3/?)

"Oh people actually play this? Now I'm curious." My plan was just to play it for a few days to satisfy my curiosity and move on. Little did I know this game would basically take permanent residence in my brain and change me and my life in a fundamental way. (2/?)
