Like, I enjoy breeding kinks and predator/prey and the like. My animality absolutely impacts my sexuality. But also sometimes I need to be petted and kissed and scratched behind the ears, and me cuddling my partner isn't more sexual just because I'm wearing a tail and she's calling me puppy.

I think that people who are committed to destroying norms and constructs in favor of living true to the self should stick together, regardless of the nature of self or the nature of the self's conflict with societal norms.

Obviously, there are plenty of routes to understanding species identities without first being trans. But it made it a lot easier for me, and for many of my friends.

Every therian I know is trans and I don't think that's an accident. Not that they are necessarily correlated, but more that once you're able to disassemble the construct of gender, it's easier to see beyond typical definitions of humanity and personhood too.
