Allowing the music and nursing programmes at the University of Cardiff to be cut is a sign that the Welsh and UK governments lack any strategy that links higher education to the economic, public service and cultural needs of entire regions.

Was convinced it was February this morning...went about my day optimistically enjoying the early signs of spring...went to turn the page of the calendar only to discover it is in fact STILL January.
