NEW ARTICLE OUT: We quickly go over the (potential) new maps in Utah, and a quick breakdown over what we think Democratic candidates should focus on when running in the competitive districts on the map.

Trump doesn't have a mandate to do WHATEVER he wants, almost every poll shows that, like this new one from Pew Research. 66% of people say that he has used his office improperly to punish those who say things he does not like.

In the latest Navigator Research poll, they asked what people thought about both the Affordable Care Act, and Obamacare. Of course, they're the exact same thing, but that didn't stop about 20% of Republicans from changing their mind about it.

We're trying something out... We would appreciate it if you just took a couple minutes to fill out our poll, and if you have any suggestions feel free to let us know!

It asks basic stuff like Trump's approval, and it's 18 questions.

YouGov's latest poll asked about whether people favor or oppose military in large US cities... and it's quite unpopular. The only people that really favor it are conservatives, but I would be interested to see the crosstabs by if they live in an urban/suburban/rural area.

This dude is the real puppet master anyways, Dems probably need to attack him just to protect the country

By the way, since we cover the LDS church being such a big factor in the state, if you want to know how they got to be such a big player in American religion, you should watch this Mr. Beat video!

I'm pretty sure that ICE has done all that to American citizens though

HarrisX had 17% of Dems approving of Trump, and this makes no sense considering the average is around 8%. Also, just think about it, do about 1/5 Democrats really approve of Trump?

A HUGE red flag for me in polls is if your crosstabs make no sense. It's basically the equivalent of showing your work in math class. If something doesn't make sense, I'll be suspicious of your answer. (1/2)

I know that at times, it might not be super clear what our mission and goals are, so we added an About Us section to hopefully clear up any confusion.

Keep your eye out on something pretty big from us this week... We're throwing our ring into making campaigns think smarter, and we're putting it into a digestible way that anyone can understand.

Here's the DC Metro (and Baltimore) by Bachelor's attainment using our 100K districts. Note that the scale is not by percentile but by raw attainment %. Northern Virginia and DC are some of the most educated areas of the US, a big reason why VA has become more Dem in the Trump era.

This is absolutely disgusting. ICE is basically a terrorist organization at this point. Those of you not speaking up against this are also sick.

Of course I guess there's the possibility that the polls are overestimating Trumps's approval somehow.

The only reason I can think of is that the people that cite something like immigration or crime, or even "woke issues" as their most important issue don't really like Trump on the economy, but love him so much for these issues that they overlook it. (3/4)
electioncord.com
Assuming that the polls about people's most important issue are true, you would expect Trump's general approval to be at the very least, in line with his economy numbers, and yet they aren't. (2/4)

Here's one thing I don't get. Trump is -18 on the economy in our average, -30 on inflation, and YET he is "only" -12 in his overall approval. The reason why it doesn't make a ton of sense is because on almost every poll, people cite the economy as the most important issue. (1/4)

Eh, I say this as someone who never went to public school, I do get it, I just dont know if its a huge priority... Religious schools will never go away, but I do think to some degree really nice expensive private schools do enforce class division

We actually keep track of the polling average for this question on our website. Currently, 56% of people say on average that the economy is getting worse, and about 20% each say it's getting worse/staying the same. I find the stock market/economic sentiment disconnect to be very interesting though.

ActiVote is saying in their latest poll that Trump has a 70% approval among Hispanics... I'm not suggesting it's wrong, but our average of all polls in the last two weeks is 36%
