Senate GOP leader Aric Nesbitt thinks he can pick on teachers and students in my community. Aric, Michiganders are tired of politicians like you who want to shred our freedoms and tell others what to think. Take Royal Oak's name out of your mouth and mind your own damn business. #mileg #resist

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates Black freedom, resilience, and joy.

While progress has been made, the work for racial justice and equity is far from over.

Trump's and Musk's illegal firing of thousands of federal workers will make Michigan and America sicker, poorer, and less safe. Swipe to read just one of their stories. I promise that I will never stop speaking out against this injustice. #NoOneElectedElonMusk #mileg

Today, we remember and honor the lives of Arielle Anderson, Brian Fraser, and Alexandria Verner. Please hold in your hearts all those affected by the horrific tragedy at Michigan State University two years ago.

I am thrilled that Safe Homes, Safe Schools is now a law in Michigan! These bills will have school districts provide information to families on safe firearm storage. This will help increase the use of gun safes, locks & help keep firearms out of the hands of children.

Thank you to Troy School District, SSAB & everyone who worked so hard to plan such a special day of action.

I was grateful for the opportunity to speak with WDIV Local 4 about Michigan House Dems' top priorities during this lame-duck session: advancing workers’ rights, protecting women’s rights, and ensuring common-sense gun safety measures. These issues are vital to building a better Michigan.
