For Caturday, honoring some of our Siamese long gone now. Booch on the left and Possum on the right. A cat I adopted from a shelter (Pink Panther) started my obsession with Siamese which brought him and these beautiful beings into my life for much too short a time.

Our 17 year old cat Cloud who is in serious decline this week. He's been a loyal friend and I shudder at his downhill slide.

I'm maybe a quarter of the way into this one and so far resonate the most with Sheldrake.
But I love Mckenna, saw him speak years ago. A witty clever elf if ever there was one. He says "the ride to the end of history is going to be a white-knuckled experience." And so it goes.

Just took a tray of kolaches with raspberry filling out of the oven. All organic ingredients. I come from a family with bakers and when the weather turns cold, I start kneading.

It was a 3 egg morning out at the coop this morning despite the snow outside and chilly temps. 2 heat lamps going in there to keep my Bantams comfortable. Mushroom omelet on the agenda for lunch.

I'm not usually a short story person but I've been devouring everything by Babitz. I wish I could write like her. Kindred ships passing in the night. Recommended. Sadly she passed away a few years ago.

Sammy aka Sam Wise Gamgee. One of our foster pups that we kept and lived his entire life here. He was the best ever.

Honoring our black cat Beetle today, named for the mysterious Egyptian scarab. Now long gone over the rainbow bridge. Another wonderful cat for Caturday. Other animals have always been valued members of our little family.

Remembering the day this little foal was born. I think of it every time I walk that pasture. The joy of raising Welsh ponies.
