Tonight’s double bill at the cinema - both were funny, touching, and all around excellent.

Not watched enough (good) films to have a #Top5FirstViews this month so here’s my 3 favourite first time watches of November:
- Last Christmas (2019)
- Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (2025)
- Predator: Badlands (2025)

Drove back to town, I went to the opticians & was like “we were here 2 hours ago, mum picked up new glasses so gave away the old pair but she has Alzheimer’s & wants them back” poor lady looked confused but was very helpful & I couldn’t help but cry when she showed me the glasses recycling bin.

As a friend works there I got to go to the preview night for the botanic lights which was lovely. Perfect weather for it too as it was dry and pretty mild.

Went to CeX for a browse and accidentally came home with a bunch of films I’ve never seen.

Today mum and I watched Harriet and The Beekeeper and enjoyed both (The Beekeeper was a rewatch for me). We contain multitudes.

Finished The Republic of Salt by Ariel Kaplan and it’s such a fresh & interesting book. This series is inspired by Jewish myths & history & I love that two main POVs are old ladies. Fantasy is often a young characters world so it’s great seeing how much they impact the story #booksky

Not seeing a lot at Cambridge Film Festival this year but here’s today’s viewing #CFF44

Completed the 10km #ShineWalk in 2 hours 14mins (including a pitstop). It was around the 8km mark that my legs started to ache but it was really fun and there was such a great atmosphere. I’m really glad I did it and thank you to everyone who’s donated!

Looks like my bookshop crawl around town today was good preparation for my 10km charity walk next week - and I’m so close to my fundraising target!

#TheHack was So Good! There was so much I didn’t know like how Gordon Brown put together the Avengers of press, politics & police to fight Rupert Murdoch. The early police-focused episodes weren’t so gripping but when both sides of the story came together to show the vast corruption it was great.
