Oh this is so sad. Lovely, lovely man. He and Mary would always be at openings at Ikon Gallery when I worked there. Pretty sure the opening of Deaf Sentence must have been set there.

The book’s even better - an intense psychological study into the lives of people who have done terrible things in the name of a political ideology and how they cope when that struggle comes to an end.
