It appears that a new paradigm is about to emerge: ICE to kill more and more nonviolent protesters and others so that each new one no longer stands out. The idea is that people will just become numb to it.

No need to cancel the elections. Even if republicans were wiped out in November, trump could just declare them invalid. Who would stand in his way?

That’s the problem. It’s completely good enough for ICE, and there is no one in a position to put up a meaningful challenge under trump, congress or #SCOTUS. They are all complicit in the movement toward Nazism.

ICE will probably say that he was trying to fire his gun without actually handling it, using an app on his phone. And therefore that they of course had to kill him.

ICE protocol is to use any excuse to abuse people, even to the point of summary execution. The protocol is knee-jerk defended/endorsed by trump and his appointed goons. The Constitution and Bill of Rights have become an irrelevant curiosity. Good going, trump voters and #SCOTUS.

I’m surprised they haven’t already appropriated that symbol, despite the downsides. It would expand recruitment by a factor of ten overnight.

Thank you. Your words beautifully described the horror & sadness of returning to a childhood hometown to find it occupied by the enemy, as well as your pride in the residents’ who are protesting & protecting their neighbors. We’re all dancing on a knife’s edge with much to lose.

There seems to be an expectation that ICE is engaging in aberrant, but correctable behavior. Would you have expected that with Hitler’s Gestapo? The time for wishful thinking is over.
