I fear for all the immigrants’ & their children’s future in this country. I fear that this country is hurtling towards fascism. I fear power hungry politicians of all kind are pushing this country towards it. I fear that this doesn’t augur well for this country. 6/7

Then you see the country’s PM spouting nauseating, unadulterated nonsense & right wing propaganda to appease to unappeasable people sweeping the contributions of generations of immigrants that helped and enriched this country in spite of their travails-you realise you will never be ‘one’ of them 5/7

We fall in love with the country which has become our home, where we raised our children, admire the good qualities, bring in culture to enrich the adopted country, get invested in its ups and downs, celebrate & despair and think you have become’one’. 4/7

As an immigrant & a naturalised citizen who have lived here quarter of century, working in essential services, like many immigrants I despair. Most of us pay taxes right from start, most don’t have recourse to public funds for years, we integrate and contribute to local community in many ways.2/7

I am just waiting to see how Yvette Cooper’s hare brained idea of cutting down immigrant care workers is going to pan out! ( I know: it will bring care services to it knees & put extra pressure on NHS which will have to deal with bed blocking & struggling to discharge vulnerable people).
