Going through trying to fix things up before the demo update and added these labels im kinda proud of.(People where exiting without meaning to). They're a bit bulky, Though im not sure there's any way to fix that. lmk what you think

Just as I thought I was done with the demo, I tried it with a controller and discovered like 3 different bugs all at once. Apologies for the lack of updates for the last few days, midterms decided to hit like a truck. hope youre well!

Current progress on the demo end screen Im also debating making it the proper end screen for the game, though it would obviously need some small tweaks. (I still gotta go through my list of names to add)

Didnt end up figuring out compression, Though I did check out som bbs solutions. I just ended up craming the logo into the sheet lol. Also had soem time to mess with particles I'm not sure if I like the fuzzy lines lmk what you think!

I'm working on sprucing up the demo end screen(the old demo is way out of date, so much has been fixed or changed.) I'm happy with it so far, but I gotta look into a way of compressing the the sprite data so I can add the logo and details

lots of bts stuff goin on! But up next on my list was to add name plates to text boxes so its a bit easier to tell whos talking, as ive had a few complaints. Just gotta give it some stylization, lmk what you think!

messing around with the soul syphon vfx, now youre blood goes straight to the bosses health bar if you die. I still wanna see about the ui breaking up a bit when you're on your last chance, lmk what you think!

polishing up the boss death state! They now syphon your soul in order to heal themself, limiting you to three chances per atempt, lest you wither away entirely. someone also suggested degrading the ui over time wich I may also try

lots of behind the scenes tweaks today. i added an intro objective to the ruins as a few people thought you could attack without the weapon. i also fixed up soem text overlap in the text boxes, though the font still need a bit of work.

finally figured out how to add a custom font thanks to the help of FReDs on the pico8 discord! It definetly still needs some work, if you have any suggestions on how to make it more readable please let me know!

working on polishin gup the end scenes writing. its not quite a satisfying ending anymore(it never really was) and i wanna get it right. heres some in game art in the meantime while i get things set up.

Map story is implamented! Still needs a bit of cleanup just like the bazzar but I wanted to get it in the game so it was at least there. Text is still real weird in pico8. hope youre well!

Spent today implamenting the new writing for the bazzar! theres lots of weird hickups if you edit the text in a docs program and paste it into pico8. jsut gotta make sure text actualy fits in the textbox then its onto the map writing!

Theres a lot of writing going on, but i had some time to fix up some bugs with the boss, mostly just subtle tweaks like audio telgraphing for certain attacks. I really wish I had more to show but its all text. if you have any ideas, lmk!
