I think these two make a strong argument for what expectations can do for a movie. I had high hopes for DAD and was very disappointed, meanwhile my only thought for CS was that it might be fun and was pleasantly surprised

The trailer for Black Bag *really* didn’t sell me, but some reviews pointing out the humor and comparing it to Burn After Reading got me to go watch it and I was happy I did
