This historically key differentiator of the CC v. 4 year institutions is basically gone for those who ultimately want a 4 year academic degree.

One thing that also happened (CSU, UC, CUNY) is that the largest public systems in the country eliminated remediation and switched to models where, in theory, remedial work is added into "regular" classes.

This is where the idea of measurable outcomes would have helped the instructor. For example, demonstrate understanding of the psychological perspective through accurate use of psychology concepts. Even: Correctly use APA format for citations. But this student was looking for trouble.

Very dubious that the they/them ad was even interpreted the way the pundits/consultants are saying. Willing to bet that when "people" in a lot of places hear Kamala is for "them" I am for "you" the "them" visualized is not transgender people. Hence why it wouldn't work for a Black Republican.

NYC also already has municipal markets edc.nyc/nycedc-publi... this idea would be essentially that but in areas not being served now and targeting low income areas. These markets were build to replace pushcarts.
