Well…a close family member was in the collectible sneakers business. It’s legit and low $$ per transaction.

Luxury watches are huge dollar amounts. Tens to hundreds of thousands per piece.

As you said, maybe he just a trust-fund kid with a hobby job.

Oh, it made me crazy trying to find it! I thought it was odd when JustWatch said the Michael Keaton film had been added to Criterion Channel. (I sent JW a correction note.)

Note that the film's title is one word "Nightshift"--not one of the two other films named with a space that came out that same year.

The documentary PREDATORS is opening in many theaters this weekend. I hope you'll make an effort to see it. It will give you lots to chew on, no matter what you've though about the TV show "To Catch a Predator" and its offspring.

I think it’s getting a lot of attention since his passing, as though it was discovered in an archaeological dig. Strong cast with exceptional plotting and writing.

Also, I learned from The Bravo Docket (45 minute episode about Lisa’s lawsuits a couple weeks ago) that Lisa’s lawyers did use the word “fanciful” to describe some of the claims against her. #RHOSLC

@benmandelker.bsky.social “Receivables” are the amounts owed to a business. “Factoring” them mean you sell to someone else the right to collect those receivables, or borrow against them. It’s like getting a payday loan.

I think a lot of people are getting introduced to this movie right now. There are 16 DVD copies in the interlibrary loans system in my area, and half of them are out or in transit right now--an unusual situation!
