I hate super early flights, but they tend to be the cheapest.
Hope the shuttle at “The Parking Spot” doesn’t take 20-30 min to pick me up like last time I used them.

Spirit started offering free flight changes due to a winter storm that’s hitting Austin this weekend, I’m flying back from EWR on Sunday but I was able to change it to Monday instead. I wanted to change it for next weekend, but at that point I needed to pay extra so I just extended my trip by a day.

Awesome, JetBlue is sending their Super Mario livery to Austin tonight, too bad that it arrives near 2300hrs and departs at 0600 tomorrow, I will try to wake up early to catch it before it leaves.

First time I’ve spent some miles to join a waitlist for “United First”, still got about 9 months before the trip, so maybe I have a decent chance to fly first class? 🤣

Picked up a radar taillight for my bicycle, hopefully this will stop cars creeping up on me and taking me by surprise (can’t really hear them once I’m cycling over a certain speed due to wind noise).

Was lucky enough to catch one of my chases during my last trip to Japan, these typically A321-P2F usually operate at night but do have some daytime flights.

Completed my first 100kms ride yesterday, everything went fine luckily.
I still need to figure out my carb/electrolyte/water intake since I did get a light cramp and was bonking out towards the end, well that and also I may have been pushing a bit too hard considering my fitness levels haha.

Couldn’t miss this one, Ameristar sent a 737-200 to AUS a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to catch it leaving but nonetheless I was pretty happy just seeing one of these flying.

We’ve been getting several 747’s at AUS bringing in F1 cars and equipment these past few days.
Last one so far was this Silkways 747-8, they’ve all been arriving and departing during work hours or in the middle of the night so I haven’t been able to drive to the airport to catch any of them 😭.

We got a bit of military aviation action at AUS this morning, first we had this T-45C Goshawk departing (these are louder than what they look) and a little bit later we had 4 A-10C departing to do a memorial flyover.

A Hawaiian/Amazon Air A330 diverted to Austin this morning due to storms at the DFW area. First time that a Hawaiian operated aircraft stopped by Austin since they cancelled their HNL-AUS service back in March.
