In short, we find largely null effects of partisan embarrassment on a host of dependent variables related to polarization and partisanship.

These are important and relevant null effects that suggest how rare it is for partisans to punish their own party.

Around 11 years ago I had this wild dream to get my PhD and get a job in academia and maybe even get tenure?! It was wild.

But then it happened 🥰. Realizing dreams sometimes takes a while and a bit of grit and patience (and luck), but it sure is worth it.
