It might be my favorite Benoit Blanc solely for all the times Blanc has to stop Father Jud from confessing himself off a ledge. Nothing worse for a murder mystery detective than someone trying to confess before the last 30 minutes. 😆

I can’t wait for the episode where it’s revealed she faked her own death by throwing her twin into a volcano. But it won’t get real involved until said twin shows up alive and with amnesia.

The first half of the series also has endings at a karaoke bar that captures the range of singing from good to trying to mimic the artist to “this song is my jam so I don’t care if I’m basically screeching.”

Lucky Star - Episode titled, That Feeling, I think. It was only in the very beginning of the episode but in those few minutes, they captured how amazing it can be to see music live, the quiet post-concert feeling where you don’t know what to do, and how it sucks to be short at a concert.

Saying bigotry is born from personal grievance is trying to assign some kind of logic to an illogical belief. We need to be more comfortable with saying that a bigot, racist, or whatever prejudices they have are because they suck and no amount of tragic backstory fixes their messed up worldview.

That probably all sounded ramble-y but there is way too much f***in’ cynicism with trying to help people. You should help people to HELP or because you care, not to exert some control on policing how they live.

People who attach strings to what should be to help are people I never want to know. You should not give money or support “but only if you use it for these things” or “but only under these conditions” Putting restrictions on that is the same as saying “I want credit for being kind even if I’m not”

I also am convinced that, even in games with dialogue options, Link isn’t actually saying it. All the NPCs are just really good at reading facial expression and body language to know what Link means.

It’s interesting to me how Link’s mutism is expressed depending on the game. Sometimes it’s only vivid facial expressions for interpretation (WW), sometimes it’s physical inability (echoes of wisdom), and sometimes it’s psychological trauma manifesting as mutism and emotional suppression (Botw).

I have never seen it, will never see it, and will rewatch TRON Legacy as a palette cleanser just in case.
