I started this project and then came two weeks of low temperatures and rain, which slowed progress, but after 7 years of hoping to be able to get this table back to the way I remember it looking as a kid, I am pretty pleased with the result:

It’s an extension table and I LOVE the mechanism in this table. It’s all wooden except the hinges.

It was immaculate in my youth, but a decade living with dementia make furniture maintenance, well…
When it came to me I was pregnant, and had a 2yo and 6yo so I did the sensible thing and covered the surface with museum wax to prevent further deterioration.
