It will hurt Republican women, too. They're less likely to have a passport. And Democratic states will create more lenient proof requirements. Still, it's a ridiculous bill

I agree. What if we had protests here and other countries threatened to intervene? We have to state what we support but without threats. Any support more than that needs to be covert.

I managed to not shop today but wanted to add that some people live in rural areas and don't have many options for shopping at small, local businesses.

China long ago required foreign companies manufacturing there, like Apple, to partner with them. They learned how to do it themselves and then improved on the process.
