This is what a breast MRI looks like. You're face down the entire time looking at a piece of white plastic. It's truly an awful experience and I've done five of them. The tech forgot to turn on music and it took four days to get the results.

Many many thanks to @newyorkcitykopp.bsky.social for recommending the rooftop patio of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL). It's across the street from the main NYPL with the lions. There's even a tiny cafe up there.

My DoorDash delivery guy was very nice, but easily in his 60s. I saw he was paid $3 by DD. I tipped in cash. Tip generously if you can afford it. It's brutal out there.

A bartender and I were discussing tonight why fewer people are eating at restaurants. I didn't have the heart to mention that people are scared. Ironically, it's "safer" for some people of color to live in a red state or a city where Rafael Cruz resides.
