Hmm. Seems a few people showed up to the Hands Off protest in DC

And yes, some of the signs? Epic.

NEW: Incredible scenes in Washington DC now.

Tens of thousands on the National Mall for the #HandsOff protest against Trump & Musk.

There must be over a million people protesting across every US state today.

$85K lost in retirement savings this week. Will it come back? Will it get worse? Who knows? This was not caused by a pandemic or another "natural" cause. This was caused by one man's ego and lack of understanding of how the economy works--and by all those around him who won't say no.

It was a tacit admission that the protests are working and that Musk and Trump are rattled enough by current sentiment that they’re willing to turn the South Lawn into a showroom.

My whole life, for 40 years or so, I've watched other countries have crazy people in government. And now I'm in a glass house.

So let me get this straight: the market is tanking and DOGE is in the process of dismantling social security. So I'm not retiring, right?

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

Fellow NSA - National Security Agency veterans. Look at what’s happened at the National Cryptologic Museum. They covered up with brown paper the photos of Women in American Cryptology. All in response to President Trump’s anti-diversity executive order.

Advent calendar of cocktails. Today, a bramble. 2 oz gin, .75 oz lemon, .5-.75 oz simple syrup, .5 oz Chambord. Shake everything but Chambord. Pour into glass with crushed ice. Drizzle Chambord over top.

I've officially begun the winter holidays. Wreath and tree acquired. Decorating to begin this week. It just started snowing. I wish I could just curl up for three weeks and wake up Christmas morning. But, of course, I have a job.
