And we came away with the win! It was a bit of biding my time to build my engines while other players duked it out, but it was soundly helped by a huge commander and a Bighorn Rancher + Skullspore Nexus combo that gained me 30 life in the final turn of the game that saw me to victory!

The card "Teferi Who Slows the Sunset" hit me in a really deep way. I connect my going on HRT as my own "slowing the sunset" - it saved my life, turned back the clock on my mind and body, and, let's face it, is also just a S tier epithet.

all capoeiristas formally receive an insulting nickname based on their idiosyncrasies. my wrestling background led to several awkward in-game grappling situations, so mine is "lula" ("squid"). b/c that username's often taken online i further specified it to my favorite squid.

11. Birth of the Cool - Miles Davis (1957, jazz)

A truly wonderful album; when it comes to the classic age of jazz, it's hard to do it better than Miles Davis. Smooth, ordered, and beautiful, Davis' band produced excellent music and this is one of their peaks.

The small shell was fragile and still in it's palm. As it watched, gathering data, a flickering spark leapt from the body, coruscated up it's frame and joined a thousand of its brethren swirling and trapped in it's eyes.

10. Palo Congo - Sabu (1957, rumba)

I can't express how out of my comfort zone a rumba record is! Still, I was struck by the chaotic energy here, with wild shouts and a terrific, bouncing pace. Not all to my taste, but certainly a few tracks shone through for me!

2025 #gaming backlog 41 - Assemble With Care (PC)

A cute, very light puzzle game in which you play a repairwoman fixing bits and bobs, and getting a little glimpse into the lives of your clients. Sweet and charming, if a little finicky.

2025 #gaming backlog 40 - Tekken 7 (PS4)

A huge step up from 6, T7 feels the closest to 5 in terms of quality and heft so far. The story mode is a welcome addition (finally), and the accessibility options for casual play are really cool. Pretty good!
