Seeing this moments after sharing my thoughts on Le Guin's 'The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction' felt like a coincidence. In reality, of course, her writing from 40 years ago remains incredibly pertinent as our systems of power and violence remain resilient even in our cultural devices and mindsets.
We need to rebuild our societies in such a way that liars, narcissists and sociopaths can’t win power - and there are strong guardrails around them if they do.
