Every Sunday at 3pm, people line up on the sidewalk leading to the Ravenna Park & Ride under the I-5 freeway. These folks are waiting for warm meals, hot beverages and critical supplies to help them survive the cold Seattle winter. And lately, the line is getting noticeably longer. We at the Ravenna Pop-Up Kitchen consider it an honor to help these neighbors and friends in need. But we cannot do it without your help. Your financial donation allows us to purchase the supplies that keep our Sunday meal service going strong. We’re asking for your help in raising the $5,000 we need to continue operating for another year. This money goes towards personal care and hygiene products, basic clothing items, serving supplies, and special meals on special occasions. One of our regular customers pointed out something important on a particularly nasty weather day recently, as he waited in line with a steaming cup of coffee in his hands: “Man, you guys are out here every week, no matter what, aren’t you?
