Like photography, football, travel, cricket, food & drink, history, music, opera, art. Dislike populism, conspiracy theories, climate deniers, queues.
I’ve never thought of it like that. Interesting point. In a similar way, I guess, I watch films more carefully in the cinema than at home, via TV.

Presumably your vinyl Rs are mostly Rod Stewart. (Yes I know they are filed under S.)

All my vinyl is from my youth. CDs arrived when I passed 30 and I bought no vinyl after that. CDs easier to use. I’m happy to believe they produce inferior sound to vinyl but I’ve never personally put that to the test.

I have a wallet but keep it in a safe place at home as a sort of filing cabinet for cards, licences, etc. When I go out I take just the things I’m going to need.

We saw them live in New Orleans in 2003. Terrific gig at a basketball arena which was far from full. A Scottish guy in the audience told me people in NO did not like to pay to attend gigs as there were so many great musicians playing just for tips in bars etc.

That knowledge will also ease the pain when we lose the Play-Off final on penalties, following an outrageous decision to disallow a perfectly good goal in extra-time.

I simultaneously am really keen for my team (Cov) to be promoted, knowing that we would be relegated after one humbling season and that the football will be far less entertaining than the Championship. This mental confusion is called cognitive polypahsia.

I’ve had hayfever for years. I take non-prescription tablets Allevia during the pollen season. Really effective and no tiredness side-effects.
