Let me start out by saying that I really like the coverage of the Vikings that the Star Tribune team provides. Probably my favorite of all the reporters/journalists that do.

Can you verify that Ryan Tannehill does not qualify for the comp formula? I don’t believe he does but hearing different opinions on that.

Watched and everyone kept saying June 1st as end of comp pick qualifying. According to OTC it's April 28th, which seems more likely they'd to wait until.

Appreciate you answering and not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand. Hunter was a 3rd round last year but got negated. Not sure by who exactly (Greenard? a 4th) but there were not any 3rd round pickups by us. Regardless sounds like my theory doesn't hold much water. Thanks.

Possibly I don't understand the full picture on how it works. We would be even with the number of CFAs lost & gained if we signed a QB say at 3.5-7M. It doesn't appear to necessarily matter on round according to OTC. They seem to match the closest but not always same round. Please explain.

It's possible they haven't signed another QB because the guy they want to sign would offset the Darnold comp pick currently. They might be waiting on Cam Robinson signing or even after the draft when the comp formula is no longer an issue. They could they have an agreement with someone already?

Pretty sad to see your bosses drag you into the Rodger's sham promotion tour. Listening to your podcasts I can tell you take journalism seriously. This must sting a bit. At least we as fans know how to view the Athletic's "reporting" now.

If you have sources within the building then what we need to know is who are the QBs the Vikings are discussing and have contacted. Are they also considering Kirk & waiting for that resolution? Your reporting is Rodgers centric & we get that. It gets engagement but it's lacking the complete story.

What are Rodgers and/or his representatives giving you to keep pushing their narrative? This "rumor" is not coming from the Vikings.
