Even if it was one of their own that did it, it will still be the fault of the ''other''.
Because the ''other'' in their view is a social/spiritual pollutant, a source of grief and problems by virtue of solely existing. Only by eliminating the ''other'' entirely can things go back to being proper.

I've had a similar experience lately (well, looking at online listings cuz local toy shops have fuck all) and I think part of it is just that I have so many transformers already?
Once you have fifteen iterations of a toy it's hard to get excited for a newer smaller more expensive sixteenth one.
