It turns out if you have a huge student body to monetize and a giant TV contract the right coach can put it all together in a year where the elites aren't quite as good as they were the year before! It is easier to do now but it's still not easy.

I think the math says you're better off up 3 than up 6 there because up 3 your opponent is settling for a FG and you go to overtime while up 6 they're more aggressive
