Largely domesticated man of mystery
Huge summer ahead. Think we can all agree that this team looks bereft of a clear, repeatable gameplan with too many square pegs in round holes. Up to Eddie and Ross Wilson to sort it out. Until then, I fear it’s going to be a painful watch #nufc

Worth remembering that #nufc entered this year’s Champions League as a pot 4 team with tougher fixtures than other English clubs and are currently sat 7th. The other pot 4 sides are Galatasaray in 17th, Qarabag 18th, Monaco 21st, Athletic Club 23rd, Copenhagen 26th, Pafos 30th and Kairat 36th.

For once can we not have a meltdown about a poor goalkeeping / wing / forward display (delete as applicable) and recognise our lads matched Man City for long periods, only to run out of gas when they brought on five world class players? Yours, a proud happy clapper 👏 #nufc

Ramsdale is horrendous. Basically every shot is a goal #nufc

No coincidence that #nufc get their third goal by finally pressing the Burnley defence for the first time in 80 mins…

One of the worst refereeing displays I can remember (at least since the last time we played a “big 6” team) #nufc

Newcastle were so accommodating they even scored Sunderland’s goal for them. Whatever our identity was under Eddie Howe it sure isn’t “intensity” now #nufc

Jury very much out on Ramsey, Elanga etc, but one thing that’s for certain is that they’re going to need a consistent run in the side to make any progress / get used to our system. If they both disappear for a few weeks we’ll be back to square one I fear #nufc

Really think the lack of rotation is hurting us this season. Can’t be a coincidence that trusting eg Miley and Elanga in the last game pays off, whereas in this one the likes of Joelinton and Big Nick looked a yard off it all night. Not sure what Ramsey has to do to get a game either #nufc

Woltemade the meme machine, sitting Pickford on his backside and sending Geordies into dreamland #nufc

Concerned about the number of goals we’re suddenly shipping away from home in exchange for a pretty modest uptick in attacking output. Know you can’t legislate for Pope brain farts but a concerning trend nonetheless #nufc

Must confess I had my doubts about continuing with Joelinton in midfield and using Schar to counter Haaland’s physicality, but Eddie got the tactics and team selection spot on. Now to see the same intensity in an away game (or two) 🙏 #nufc

Whatever you think of today’s “performance”, this is the biggest moment of Howe’s career at #nufc. God I hope he can turn it round 🤞

What I’ve always loved with Eddie is that - even when the team don’t perform - there’s a clear plan behind everything. Right now I have absolutely no idea what we’re trying to do. That’s on Eddie I’m afraid #nufc

Dan Burn has to come off here. On a yellow with Lewis Hall on the bench, it starts looking v foolish indeed to leave things as is #nufc

Take a bow Harvey Barnes 👌 #NUFC

Our left hand side feels very dysfunctional. None of the gut feel that we associate with #nufc at their best
November 5, 2025 at 8:21 PM
I love Eddie, but it’s a concern when the game gets away from us against poor opposition that he has a tendency to lose his head and make seemingly random changes. Not exactly sure what formation we’re playing now #nufc
November 2, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Suns up Botman’s first half tbh - giving the ball away, bullied by Callum Wilson, now surrendering our defensive record. Big half time for Eddie Howe this #nufc
November 2, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Extremely poor first half an hour from #nufc here. Midfield overrun by a bunch of teenagers and journeymen; Gordon yet again failing to produce against a non-elite team… Passivity a major concern away from St James’…
