About 4 years ago, a coalition of Costume Professionals for Wage Equity, On Our Team, and I launched a campaign for pay transparency on Playbill's job site. It worked, and pay rates are now required on all job posts. But wow, some employers really do love pay secrecy. 1/3

On artistic censorship:

Protest art is an important form of artistic expression and free speech. You cannot separate protest art from American art, and you cannot separate puppet art from protest art.
