This is why the second years adapt so fast.

And the other methods have gotten so many cute results! Who could say no to that risk?

For BG3, you fall off because after act 2 you immediately get so much choice paralysis in the open world that you stop playing.

a group of people were like "i found a way to live my life as a truer version of myself" and instead of being like "that's beautiful, how can i help" people were like "i don't think schools should have books in them anymore"

yeah, it's a great chapter! I love the interactions between Aaron and everyone else we've already met, and the similarities to Trevor's dysphoria episode. I love a good Aaron chapter, but I like the start of the next one even more, it's all just such great character work.

Okay, so you should try butter chicken! That's the thesis here. It's good. But it has to be from a good place. Lots of places don't make a good butter chicken, I know from recent experience.

Look you're supposed to eat it with sauce that has dripped onto it from some kind of meat dish, and also a ton of MSG. Ideally also a runny egg. Plain rice is definitely mid. I'm with you, May. If I want a starch, I'd rather have potatoes or bread.

We know about orange juice! She had orange juice at brunch!

It's tomatoes. It's basically Ketchup. If that's spicy it's because you have an allergy. They are not a spicy food, May.

No, you can get curry that's not spicy. Butter chicken is typically very mild. You can add spice, but it's generally just a tomato-based sauce.

No. Make it longer, actually. We want more words!

Sure, that's the moral case, but it's still tactically advantageous if people start associating socialism with the guy that lowered rent prices and gave universal healthcare instead of Russian famines and political persecution.

Also, the 70 or 80 years opening like a chasm is very much a trans experience, but for different reasons. As kids, we tend to have a hard time picturing our futures. Thinking either we won't make it there, or not wanting to grow old without transition. And also we still have to start making choices.

You are not alone in feeling like book 3 slows down. With 4 distinct plot threads being followed (above, below, past, stenordale) instead of above/below ground in only 2 perspectives in book 1, it's a lot slower.
