Today was my author pop-up at M. Judson—it went great, and being sandwiched between the Farmers Market and Black Pride Celebration made the foot traffic all that much more wonderful.
I sold a book to a visiting Canadian. Tried to get them to adopt me, but no dice.

A day away from my first public book signing event and instead of the peaceful low-stress lead-in I tried to give myself, I now have a very sick cat (vet at 8 am) and a box of perishables that decided the perfect time to be delivered would be while I was an hour away w/temps in the 90s. #indieauthor

So I’m having an issue getting my head past the vile fuckery that has become every day in the United States and into any kind of writing mode. I have so many things that are in progress that I’m excited about, but I sit down to work and just freeze up. Advice? #authorproblems #writinglife
