I don't know about Liberapay, but GitHub requires an account for any kind of payment, while OO doesn't. I've seen companies (corporate and enterprise) preferring OO because GitHub would have required more bureaucracy.

That's been my experience in the last four years.

They also handle taxes for all the members of the project when they want to expense the money.

Sure, they take a substantial fee, but it's worth it! They also have good customer service.

Always from experience, I've seen more payments coming from Open Collective as opposed to GitHub.

As a maintainer of two OSS projects, I would advise setting up an open collective (OO) account. Users rarely ask, and use what's available. OO may require more information, but allows one-off payments, it doesn't require GitHub accounts (easier for corporate and enterprise) 1/2

True, and freaking concerning. The package manager of the most used language is dead, in the hands of MS.

They should give it to the Linux Foundation, so they can focus on the registry only.

Well, Svelte used (uses?) labels for their reactivity in v4. It was a clever use of some syntax. I can't recall such disagreement like the one that the React ecosystem is experiencing.

Yeah, true. I guess for the use case you guys had, directives fit better. I suppose React and Next.js are the first big players using this feature heavily

Decorators are official. Only decorators for parameters aren't

Any particular reason why Gleam doesn't have an open collective?

What are the illegal parts? Is it because it's a government website that doesn't match the colour contrast requirements?

It's possible you come from a place where import sorting is part of formatting. However, it isn't the case for JavaScript, a language with side effects. That's why in Biome, that's part of the analyzer
