I know fanfiction carries a stigma because of its genre; I get that. But I see fanfiction as a way to hone writing skills, as you learn how to structure ideas on paper. Imagine a tutorial for a video game

Yes, while I mostly post links to my YouTube or Twitch these days, I do, in fact, write on the side. Worked on a fantasy book for around 7 years, started a romance book just out of curiosity (oddly enough, what made me start it was The Chainsaw Man Movie), and I have been writing fanfics before.
