✅ Helps manage huge crowds & maintain a certain atmosphere.

These fragrant winter blooms not only brighten your garden but also fill the air with delightful scents. Winter is far from dull when your garden smells this good! 👇

Winter Planting Tips:
• Weather Check: Avoid planting when the ground is frozen or waterlogged.
• Mulch: Add a layer of mulch to protect roots and retain warmth.
• Watering: Water newly planted flowers well, especially during dry spells.

7️⃣ Mahonia (Mahonia x media)
• 🌱 Planting: Thrives in partial to full shade, in fertile, well-drained soil.
• 👃 Scent: Spicy, grape-like fragrance from yellow flowers.
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Container-grown plants can still be planted this month.

6️⃣ Snowdrops (Galanthus)
• 🌱 Planting: Prefers damp, humus-rich soil in dappled shade.
• 👃 Scent: Subtle, honey-like fragrance (especially in warmer weather).
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Perfect for planting “in the green” (already sprouted).

5️⃣ Winter-Flowering Clematis (Clematis cirrhosa)
• 🌱 Planting: Sunny, sheltered positions are ideal; ensure soil is moist but well-drained.
• 👃 Scent: Delicate sweet fragrance with creamy-white flowers.
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Plant young clematis in pots or directly into the garden.

4️⃣ Daphne (Daphne odora ‘Aureomarginata’)
• 🌱 Planting: Needs well-drained, slightly acidic soil in a sunny spot sheltered from strong winds.

• 🌱 Planting: Thrives in sun or partial shade, in fertile, well-drained soil.
• 👃 Scent: Spicy, sweet scent with clusters of pink-tinged flowers.
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Bare-root plants or established ones in containers can go in the ground.

• 🌱 Planting: Prefers partial shade and humus-rich, moist soil.
• 👃 Scent: Intense vanilla-like aroma from its tiny white flowers.
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Excellent time to plant container-grown sweet box.

• 🌱 Planting: Best in well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot.
• 👃 Scent: Sweet, lemony fragrance fills the air on mild winter days.
• 🕰️ Plant Now: Bare-root shrubs can still be planted in January if the ground isn’t frozen.
