So we’ve got half the population begging for pockets to be sewn into all of our clothes, but the fashion industry thinks infants and animals—who can’t use these pockets anyway—should have pockets in their clothes. Riddle me that.

Today I bought a hoodie for my dog (he has very little fur and temps have dropped into the 50s in Florida) and noticed it has a fully functional kangaroo pocket. Worse yet, the pocket is on his back, so even if he wanted to retrieve something stored in it, he wouldn’t be able to.

When my son was an infant, my boss gifted him some of the cutest clothes. Among these was an adorable onesie that had a tiny but functional cigarette pocket on one sleeve. And before he could walk, most of his shirts & pants also had functional pockets. At this age, he barely knew he had hands.
