Hmm my apologies for the confusion. I was not trying to imply that would be full account of the problem, in the scenario it would be what idd call a good step in the right direction. but it could not prevent SIDS fully in that scenario and reality.

In that scenario of the post. If I believed SIDS was infanticidal or an excuse to get away with murder then I think the logical solution would be prevention.
Its all entertaining what the person in the post believes, not my own beliefs around SIDS. Does that make it any clearer?

SIDS are uncomfortable because lack of clear cause but even if you thought this was a invented way to hide murder it would be very hard to pin them all.
Unironically this just an argument for abortion and prevention, because no-one should have a child if they are not prepared more than enough.
