By the nature of the story, it got a little repetitive towards the latter half but the world and magic were fascinating and kept me invested in how it would all wrap up.

The pacing on this one was really rough. Not very much happened during the first half, then the climax and character resolutions happened in the last 15ish pages. Felt unresolved at the end.

I enjoyed this for the most part. The only thing that kinda dragged was just how long it is. 849 pages is a TOME, and there were points I really felt its length.

I adored everything about this one. This vibes were perfect, the story was super engaging, and the romance really worked. Give me this gothic fantasy style any day.
