No plans on additional checkered patterned textures, sorry! However, the colours are easy to replace if you make copies of them and swap the colours in art programs made for pixel art.

A while ago, I made some low resolution grid textures for use prototyping levels in 3D games. Out of curiosity, I tried using them as sprite tiles...they actually looks great!

The sky is completely overcast with two rain shafts on the left and right leaving an interesting looking opening in the center. Lightning explodes out of the sky over Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago, in every direction from almost a ball, almost in the middle of the frame. It's sprinkling while shooting this, which is on display care of the out of focus raindrops on the lens to the left and bottom A cropped in view of some further distant lightning over the Chicago skyline this evening. The distance tinting things more to the yellow end than the white end, the lightning occurring before and illuminating a shaft of rain further in the background Several bolts of lightning strike a range of targets from left to right across the screen including two into Lake Michigan and one onto the Hancock building.
