#Devtober Day 29! 2 Days left! Working on the Itch.io page and added the Farming Skill to my game. Would like to add some rare drops for crops. Any ideas like special seeds?

#Devtober Day 28!
Added the Hunting Activity, which lets you hunt animals for meat, bones, furs, etc. Tomorrow I will add farming, and setup the Itch.io page for the game!

#Devtober Day 25 - Starting the final week!
Today I added skill switching to my game, didn't quite have enough time to make it all working though!

#devtober Day 22! Completely overhauled the stats screen today for gathering skills through Refactoring! Stuff makes more sense now, adjusts to each gathering activity, and doesn't use Magic Numbers in code for various value caps.

#devtober Day 21! Skill switching visually working changing the background scenes with nice crossfade animations, and fancy shader animations on the header. Next up is to actually switch skill data, which requires a large refactor!

#Devtober Day 20! End of the month fast approaching! Today I prepared for my day long Road Trip tomorrow, so I can still #gamedev on my Steam Deck & added fancy animation tweens to message notifications.

#Devtober Day 14.

Took a break from the UI today to figure out some 🎵music🎵 for the game. Playing with the idea of using #AIMusic as placeholder until I can find a good composer to work with, or roll my own!

#Devtober Day 13! I'm not ready to post this.🙈, but that's the nature of having to post every day! Working on the Inventory Gear tab, and worked out all 5 rarities of gear and have everything loading dynamically for this test for the first time!

#Devtober 🍂Day 11 of 31!🍂
Completed the Resources and Equipment tabs of my UI in Godot for my #idlegame. Next up is the Inventory tab, which I forgot to prototype in figma😅. October progress is going well though!

#Devtober day 9. Started work on layout out the right sidebar that is intended for the various inventories in the game. The resources tab is for stackable materials you find through the gathering professions. #godotengine #indiedev

#devtober Day 8. Main menu pretty functional and complete! I might play around with the tweens and make some better transitions tomorrow before moving on to the inventory system! #godot #indiedev

#Devtober Day 6 done. As typical with #gamedev, after some false starts with trying to embed vectors into fonts and getting that clunky workflow kind of working, I went back to a much simpler pure *.SVG solution. Scaling is now working and fast.

#devtober Day 5 complete! Header UI controls are implemented (but not yet interactive). I worked out a way to use #Godot's theming so that I will be able to swap out different color schemes for the UI in the future!

Day 4 of #Devtober complete! SVG resizing is working. Left shirt is a png, right shirt is a vector svg. I may not use this for all my icons though because the process is slow on the CPU. #godot
