"In Zamzam a week of relentless shelling and gunfire has killed more than 400 people — children, humanitarian workers, community leaders, members of my family."

Opinion | The Darfur Genocide Never Ended
As Sudan’s soldiers and rebels continue to fight, the one constant seems to be that Sudanese civilians bear the brunt of their abuse.

Read my newly released op-ed in the @nytimes.com on the war in Sudan & the fate of ZamZam—“I have worked, taught, mourned and celebrated in Zamzam. For years, the camp was a place of sanctuary and hope for survivors of the Darfur genocide…Now all that has been obliterated…” tinyurl.com/55vc9dve

The US cancelled all South Sudanese Visas over a case of mistaken identity: South Sudan issued an emergency travel letter for South Sudanese citizen named Nimery Garang. Instead, a Congolese citizen named Makula Kintu was deported to South Sudan. SPEAK UP to end this injustice. Silence is complicity

I wrote this article 5 years ago and the world is still in the same state now if not worse. As long as people in power act with impunity— be it in Sudan, the US, or anywhere else— everyday people are left to pick up the pieces #keepeyesonsudan #noimpunity

Until all of Sudan is free, none of Sudan is truly free. Since the start of the war, my ancestral home in Al Fashir has been bombed twice by the RSF. It’s hard to describe what we Darfuris feel as the horrors of genocide we’ve long been familiar with unfold across all of Sudan. #keepeyesonsudan
